I’m excited for this episode, as the hockey team takes it to Cam for his lack of wanting to hang with the team outside of games, and KC’s dad enters the picture. I’m not sure how I feel about the Fiona/Drew argument that will ensue, but they are addressing the very relatable issue of having roommate troubles.

Imogen was great prior to this lazy story and it’s just dragging her down. Still has potential but if this is the way they’re going…adios
Would have prefered to see KC as the main plot as it was realistic and far more entertaining.
Cameron was rather meh…especially hanging out at the place to be in Degrassi land….a steakhouse

The kareoke scene reminded me of High School Musical so much. Also, Maya is delusional if she thinks Cam actually has any ounce of singing talent.

As much as I love Cam, I think I actually have to side with Dallas on this one. There was no good reason for him to bail on the team, and I don’t believe it had anything to do with Maya. They just portrayed him to be lazy and weak willed.
I’d give anything to be a pro hockey player, but I think he owes it to himself and the team to figure out what’s wrong with him before he takes another shift.
Also, where was the coach this whole time? In reality, Cam would have been scratched for the following game, regardless of his talent level. The same as Claude Julien benched Tyler Seguin when he missed a team breakfast.

Loving Cam’s plot right now! KC’s is becoming predictable, and Fimogen is just stale now. I am a little bewildered though at the fact that Drew all of the sudden has this air of responsibility about him. He was so whiny and now he’s ordering Fiona? Although Fiona is being a lazy sack right now.

I’m liking Cam’s plot. He just doesn’t like his team…he’s stuck :| KC sure is predictable but I find it interesting. Looking forward to seeing part 2. I’m kind of confused as to when KC will graduate though…
Wait there was a Drew/Fiona plot here? Guess I was too busy sleeping through it. If they wanted to make this plot they needed to go in a more extreme way, like a real roomate fight. This just seemed lazy and easy. Liked the small build up to Imogen’s plot though.

Just rewatched it, as usual, it was better the second time. Campbell’s plot is great and it’ll only get better tomorrow.
After a second watch, Fiona and Drew have nice chemistry, it’s just too bad that it’s still too simple!! Make me care Degrassi!

Wow the degrassi writers are really making me fall in love with cam! this episode (the cam plot at least) was so amazing. So heart breaking, just overall awesome. This is how we learn to love a new character! Still think he has a dead brother somewhere.

Cam definitely deserved the punishment, but I feel like because his situation is so sad, I can’t help but to feel sorry for him. Actually, his whole plot is really heart breaking to watch and I feel like most people don’t realize the extremity of it because of the laid back nature of Degrassi. However, when you think about it, Cam is really carrying on a lot. He has no family around him, he hates hockey, and even worse, the whole reason why he IS away from his family is because he has to dedicate all of his time TO hockey. Is anyone following me here? To be away from your family is one thing, but to be away from your family to pursue a career in which you cannot stand is something else. I can only imagine how lonely Cam must feel. And he doesn’t even tell anyone how he really feels, probably because in his mind, it’s his duty to make his family proud through hockey. Coming from personal experience, when you have to spend all your time doing something you absolutely loathe,it can really eat at you- especially when you don’t like the people you are constantly around (the hockey team). As a result of this negativity, Cam doesn’t even feel comfortable in front of people anymore. Notice every time he interacts with somebody (whether it’s the hockey team or even Maya, his girlfriend) he always seems to be guarded or on edge. He’s always stuttering, looking to the side, looking down shaking his head….kudos to Dylan Everett’s acting. I understand Cam, completely. He speaks to me so much and it’s just so sad that he is carrying so much burden when he is only in grade 10.

I really agree with this. I get Cams situation, so it really hits home with me being an athlete myself in a similar away from home situation .I don’t think he hates hockey given other scenes we’ve seen with him ,but I think more than anything he hates the pressure other people put on him and the pressures and the expectations of others for him to be perfect on the ice 100% of the time.Then theres the fact that hes miles away from home and a reliable support system,which is a whole nother thing.That plus having a team of people around you who aren’t supportive and make you feel like they’re all you have,to the point where they drag you down, I would lose it too.It’s just too much for one person to carry emotionally on their own.There’s only so long you can carry on like that.

Well he did tell Maya he hates hockey, but you’re probably right, he probably doesn’t hate it. It’s more of him hating all the effects of what hockey has done to his life, rather than him disliking the game itself.

Agreed, We know Cristine ‘Imogen” can kiss we were they fo Imogeli. Eli and Imogen kisses were freaking hot. So why is it different with Fiona? Unless Annie and Cristine feel weird or uncomfortable doing a same sex kiss???

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I totally saw the chemistry.
Some people don’t like Fimogen because they think it was rushed. Fimogen took a half of a season to happen but other couples like Maybell happened in a few episodes.
Others don’t like it because they seem more like friends. There’s a lot of couples like that. I mean in this show called South of Nowhere Ashley and Spencer were totally like they were just friends (until they started kissing and such).
Then there are some who just don’t like it. Eh I understand that one; I mean I never liked Palex, Eclare, etc.
There’s just no pleasing you people lol

And I see where Dallas is coming from, even if he is pushing it too far. But at the same time, Cam needs to speak up. I am sure Dallas or the coach would understand he is stressed and try to help.

Well if Hockeynuts post was right about Dylan Everett hinting that he is was going to be involved with the musical, I think we just got our answer. One of the descriptions was about Dave getting stage fright, and what better way of uniting the school then have the star hockey player make a stand and fill in. ( and I actually think out of all the actors right now, Dylan actually has the best voice. Everett was trying to make himself sound worst then what he actually is)

I loved Cams story, he has some serious anxiety issues when it comes to Hockey but Im glad he has Maya on his side.
Im glad we finally meet KC’s dad but something is not right with that man. He seems like the person who is a very angry drunk.
Don’t get me started with Mis Coyne. Miss Fiona Coyne Day? Then she has the nerve to treat Drew like Dirt. Shame on her. Im glad Drew stepped up to the plate and called her on her own pig sty. After he cleaned his own mess and gave her the rent. Sorry Fimogen shippers this ship is one of the worst ships Degrassi ever created. I still love Imogen though. What pisses me off I used to love Fiona but ever since she came back Im loathing her more and more. To me it looks like Imogen just wants a friendship and it seems like Imogen is straight. But she is hiding something huge from Eli and Fiona regarding he dad.

Campbell and Holly J are now my two most beloved characters in all of Degrassi TNG history. The writers and the producers really know how to pick the actors and how to make us love them! I thought no one could even match Holly J til now!

Just another inconsistency. If you play junior pro, you play hockey. Not football and then play hockey whenever you feel like it. But, I think he will have a major purpose this season due to being Tristan’s brother. That’s why he was put on the team, even if it’s not realistic.

Owen’s main sport has always been hockey hasn’t it? I mean, there’s definitely made mention a fair few times that he played a lot of hockey (for ex, when he met Anya’s mum)

Lord, lots of random Fiona hate here… I enjoyed her scenes with Imogen. Actually, I really enjoyed all of the plots in this episode. They were all really interesting, especially Cam cracking under the pressure. I’m super looking forward to what’s going on with Imogen’s dad. Imogen backstory episode should be coming up soon.
